Overview of communicating when traveling to the USA

Tempest Telecommunications has been the global leader in providing communications services for travelers providing Internet access, Voice and data services for International travelers. Before traveling to the USA you can make arrangements to have your communications services in place when you arrive with Tempest Telecom. You can also make sure that you have proper Telephone and Power Adapters to connect your laptop, PDA, phone or any other electronic device you have.

We currently offer both dial-up and Wi-Fi Internet service in the USA.

We also offer Iridium and Bgan satellite Internet and Voice access in the USA in order to communicate in rural areas without infrastructure.

Tempest Telecom offers dial-up Internet access in the USA via 22917 access numbers. These numbers provide service in the USA anywhere there is availability of a telephone jack.

If you are going to use the dial-up service, check that you have the correct telephone adapter and power plug adapters so that your laptop will work when you arrive.

Tempest Telecom offers high-speed broadband wireless Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) Internet access in the USA via 22291 hotspots. All you need to connect to these hotspots is an account and a laptop with a Wi-Fi enabled network card.

Access is provided on an unlimited basis for a fixed daily rate that allows you to connect to any hotspot in the region. This means you can connect from your the airport, your hotel, the convention center and coffee shops for one low fee.

Satellite internet allows you to carry internet access with you when you travel to the USA. As soon as you arrive in the USA you will be ready to connect.

There are 2 portable satellite Internet networks available:

BGAN: Broadband Global Area Network is a portable satellite network that works almost anywhere in the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Iridium Data: Iridium has 100% global pole to pole coverage. It is not as fast as other networks but it makes up for it with superior coverage.

Each service is provided via small easy to set up terminals that act as a dish to transmit and receive data.

If you need to make telephone calls anywhere in the USA, including areas where there is no cellular service. Satellite Telephones are a great solution.
